Before 2020, I was a classically trained jeweler working in a store that carried auram, my line of jewelry. Faced with unemployment at lockdown, I shifted to web work and migrated the store's website from Squarespace to Shopify.
 Overwhelmed while editing Shopify theme code, I signed up for a three week Coding Basics workshop with SheCodes and haven't stopped learning since.
Currently, I work as a full time software developer for a medical software company, an occasional freelance web designer, and a part time jeweler in my home studio on the north side of Chicago.
